Just Go To Our Website

Here in Tucson, our local news usually tells you that for more details, go to their website. That sounds like a good idea. The problem is that their website is just endless feeds from other sources so that they have basically zero maintenance.

Go to our website to see primary election results. I did, and they’re not there. Just feeds with news from all over the place.

If you’re going to drive people to the website, why not make that a quality experience? Why not have the website actually contain the things you’re telling me to go see? If the news reader tells me that I can find primary election results on the website, someone should have a link right there on the home page. That’s news! I want to know about it now. Tomorrow, something else will be news, and that can be on the home page. Then, you can archive previous day’s important links, and have it all be searchable.

Imagine that.
