New To eBay?
Are you considering selling on eBay, or have recently started (or restarted) an eBay business? We can help. Our specialties go beyond design to include eBay strategy help. A design will be meaningless if you are not listing on eBay correctly, or if you’re unknowingly on the fast track to getting yourself in trouble by breaking eBay rules you didn’t even know existed.
Did you know that eBay takes your “policy compliance” into consideration when deciding where to rank your items in search results? And did you know that the main people likely to report you to eBay for breaking rules are your competitors? That means it’s not worth it to break rules and hope nobody notices. The punishment is now too swift and severe to risk your eBay business or search ranking.
Every day, sellers call us because they are unhappy with what another company designed for them. Typically, they’re not happy with the design… it’s bland, it’s cookie cutter, it uses Flash, which can’t be seen on millions of iPhones, iPods, and iPads. Typically, they’re unhappy that they never got their design files, and don’t seem to be in control of what they paid for. But nearly 100% of the time, when we look at this design, we also find broken rules. If something in your design breaks rules, guess who gets in trouble. Not the designer, unfortunately.
If you are considering working with another designer, make sure you have a signed contract with that person that states that if anything in your design is found to break eBay rules that they will fix it immediately and at no charge. Make sure the contract says that you own the work, and you will get all of the source files. That’s what our contract says.
Let us help you understand the best ways to sell on eBay, and how to never break (or stop breaking) eBay rules.
